Behind every old photo there is a story, or even someone’s whole life, with all its peaks and troughs of grief and happiness. These images remain silent witnesses to the events and atmosphere of an era that has already passed into history, never to be experienced again. Unless we invent a time machine, of course!

Until that point, we at LikeAble are delighted to present you with some of the most unusual historical photos we’ve ever seen. Every one of them captures an amazing moment in our collective history.
